i bet he would have an easier time passing if he read the books he had to read for homework...
"Your mom doesn't read books for homework." "You're an unread book for homework." These and more are comebacks I learned from "What To Say For A Comeback" by Rebecca Carlson. Basically, just add "your mom" to whatever it was that was just said OR say "you are" whatever it was that was just said. These are the most effective ways of defending yourself.
